Tarpon Point Marina

The best cruising and fishing waters in Florida are just a short distance from Tarpon Point Marina, located just a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The marina is in a protected deep-water harbor, making it safe from bad weather. Tarpon Point Marina is located on the Caloosahatchee River, just a short distance from the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Tarpon Point Marina may be found at mile marker 92 on the Intracoastal Waterway. The marina basin has a depth of 8 to 12 feet, making it suitable for a wide variety of boats. The marina’s fuel dock, where you can purchase gasoline and diesel, is located on the left (port) side of the entrance. Each of our tenants is eligible for substantial savings on fuel, and there is no fee for using the pump stalls.

They offer 225 berths for vessels up to 75 feet in length, with special berthing for vessels up to 125 feet. Ninety percent of the wet slips at the docking facility are offered for hire on a “first come, first served” basis to the general public in accordance with Florida Administrative Code SUD Sect 18-21008. There is a cost involved to use the pool.

Snapper, redfish, and trout can all be caught in freshwater throughout the year. Snook are highly sought after as an inshore catch, and as the rivers become saltier, cobia, spanish mackerel, and even tarpon will make their way inland. It’s not uncommon for children to see dolphins swimming close by on a family outing, giving you a chance to drop your line while the little ones gawk.
