Grapevine Mills is a retail mall located in Grapevine, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. It is the largest shopping mall in the area of Grapevine Mills has a total floor area of over 1,781,628 square feet (165,518.7 square meters) at the present time.

Grapevine Mills, which opened its doors on October 30, 1997, is one of the largest shopping centers in the United States, and it is owned by the Mills platform of the Simon Property Group. The mall is home to more than 20 anchor stores and more than 200 specialty merchants, as well as a range of theme restaurants, casual eating establishments, and cutting-edge entertainment facilities, among other amenities.

Located within a prominent shopping district just east of Lake Grapevine and two miles (3 kilometers) north of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Grapevine Mills is a popular destination for shoppers. The AMC Dine-In Grapevine Mills 30 is located on the ground floor and has a racetrack floor design.

It is the second-biggest mall in Tarrant County, Texas, after North East Mall, which is the county’s largest shopping center.

Grapevine Mills, a joint venture between The Mills Corporation and Simon DeBartolo, officially opened its doors on October 30, 1997. When it opened, it was the first mall to implement the “Mills experience,” which included bringing in major department shops and outlet stores as anchors, as well as off-price retail chains and huge retailers that offer a diverse selection of products. Entertainment Zones, which included restaurants, video games, and movie theaters, were also available at Mills-owned malls. The Polar Ice rink at the mall first opened its doors in 1999.

Simon Property Group lost its ownership interest in the mall in July 2002. The ESPN X Games Skate Park, which debuted in November 2002 at the mall, was a huge success. Brookfield Management made a $1.35 billion takeover bid to Mills Corporation, which the company accepted in January 2007. After the company was put up for sale, Mills accepted a greater offer from Simon Property Group the following month, for $1.6 billion. As part of the acquisition, Simon Property Group acquired the 38 malls that were held by the Mills Corporation at the time of the acquisition, including Grapevine Mills.

It was announced in 2009 that Merlin Entertainments would build a Legoland Discovery Center within the Grapevine Mills Mall owned by Simon Property Group. The center will be located within the mall. It opened on March 25, 2011, with 35,000 square feet (3,300 m2) inside the space that had housed Woodward Skatepark. Lego-themed attractions included an interactive laser ride, a 3D movie and a play area for kids. The extension of Legoland at the mall was approved by the city council in October of that year.
